Silviu Darie, PhD, EE, PE

Prof. Dr. Darie has 40 years experience in University-level electrical engineering instruction and industry consulting. He is a renown authority worldwide in power system analysis computer applications, electrical energy distribution, electrical energy management, demand side management, power quality, transmission pricing, embedded generation, computer aided power system analysis and design. In addition to earning both his Doctorate and Masters degrees in electrical engineering, he has authored or co-authored hundreds of technical books, student manuals, technical papers, and research projects.

Dr. Darie has more than 15 years experience with EDSA power systems modeling products, as well as those from other companies. He has led nearly 180 electrical power projects and constructed 18 prototypes designed for mass production, he holds three patents. He has provided services to clients worldwide, and is a registered professional engineer in Romania, South Africa and New Zealand.

Pietro Manni, P. Eng.

Pietro is an experienced EDSA products user and instructor, with more than 15 years experience in electrical engineering, power quality analysis, and industrial system design, analysis and operations. In the past decade, he has conducted many training sessions and made multiple presentations on power quality issues and power system analysis worldwide.

Pietro is a registered professional engineer and has provided services to numerous clients in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Asia, Europe and the Middle East through the consulting firm he founded, PQ Logic. Previously, he was a power system engineer and system designer in the nuclear power industry, as well as for commercial and residential power systems.
