  EDSA Protective Device Coordination Program

EDSA’s Protective Device Coordination (PDC) program is an advanced and powerful tool for performing protective device selection and intelligent protective device coordination, by considering the network layout and network data. PDC currently has two tools: 1) PDC stand-alone and network-based and 2) PDC-based on user interface.

  The PDC intelligent engine uses the EDSA user interface, model one-line diagram, PD libraries and database, as well as EDSA’s Power Flow and Short Circuit programs.

EDSA PDC Program: protective path and time-current plotting

    Program Features:

  PDC works directly on the one-line diagram or on the user selected protective path;
  EDSA Power Flow and Short Circuit Programs are integrated in the PDC program;
  PDC communicates with Power Flow, Short Circuit program and Motor Dynamic Starting program;
  Intelligent PDC auto-select engine;
  Intelligent search engine that allows up stream and down stream protective device coordination;
  Powerful plotting engine;
  Ability to simultaneously work on two EDSA PDC windows: protective path and time-current log-log space;
  Graphically adjustable device settings, with automatic settings display;
  User can enable or disable the device protection function;
  Multi-PD functions can be injected into the same device; the user can disable or enable the protection features in order to generate “what if” scenarios;
  Motor starting curves are either generic or generated by the EDSA Advanced Motor Starting program;
  Unlimited scenarios;
  Direct injection of the PDC data in either network devices or protective path;
  EDSA professional reports: user can report the setting of all devices within the project, or report the settings of all devices within the particular panel.
  Direct fuse and relay data interpolation;
  PDC data settings can be annotated on the one-line diagram or on the PDC network protective path;
  Customized current and voltage scaling;
  Short circuit can be injected at any point in the network to generate device sequence of operation report;
  Easy export protective path and time-current curves to doc files for document purposes;
  A comprehensive back annotation and print functionality;
