Paladin® Technical Diagramming™ Solution
Paladin® Technical Diagramming™ offers users an automated drawing solution that is both powerful and productive. Co-developed by EDSA’s industry-expert partners, it is well-suited for all of your technical diagramming applications, in order to give your design projects real-world accuracy and usability.

Paladin® Technical Diagramming™ works very similarly to the established diagramming software such as Visio and is fully AutoCAD® compatible.

As a diagramming product, Paladin® Technical Diagramming™ is an important tool for drafters and designers, whether part-time or professional. Diagramming is superior to CAD in certain select areas, such as one-line diagram creation and Paladin® Technical Diagramming™ includes more than 6,000 intelligent ActiveShapes® objects along with a rich database of electrical components and the logical power system database for a complete DesignBase digrammatics and modeling solution.

Paladin® Technical Diagramming™ differs from traditional diagramming tools by introducing the concept of "plugs" and "sockets." Objects and connectors use Autodesk® Plugs and Sockets™ technology to align, connect, and resize automatically to help you get results faster. A blue-colored plug plugs into a green-colored socket, just like an electrical cord plugs into a wall socket. When an ActiveShape is moved around the drawing, it displays its plugs; whenever it gets near another ActiveShape, the second shape displays its sockets. When a plug matches a socket, a red-and-white bull's-eye icon is displayed and you know that the two are locked together.

Unlike CAD, Paladin® Technical Diagramming™ software is really easy to use: you select a shape and drag it onto the drawing. The software package includes thousands of pre-drawn shapes, so that you don't need to spend any time drawing; you just arrange the shapes, then connect them together.
