Detroit Power Systems Workshop

August 23-24, 2007

EDSA Micro Corporation and Advanced Consulting Engineering, Inc. are sponsoring a two-day electrical power systems design workshop on August 23 and 24 at Wayne State University. It is intended for electrical power systems engineers interested in learning of the latest design methods and technologies available for modeling complex power systems.

The workshop will include discussion of engineering challenges like arc flash, short circuit, and power flow. There is no charge for the event, but attendees must be licensed engineers. The workshop qualifies for 1.6 IEEE Continuing Education Units (CEUs) or 16 Professional Development Hours (PDHs.) Enrollment is limited, so interested attendees should act quickly to reserve their place.

The session will be led by Silviu I. Darie, PhD, EE, PE. Dr. Darie has more than 40 years experience in professional and university-level electrical engineering instruction. He had led more than 180 electrical power projects, and has authored or co-authored hundreds of technical books, student manuals, technical papers, and research projects on the subject.
