Management Team

Ali Nasle, Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Ali Nasle founded EDSA in 1983, having already established himself as an award-winning pioneer in electrical engineering. He is credited with dozens of electrical engineering patents and inventions, dating back to the first digital protective device coordination program.

Under his direction, EDSA products have emerged as the most comprehensive, widely-used and internationally certified electrical design and simulation products in the world. Today, thousands of customers worldwide rely on technologies pioneered by Ali, to protect assets valued at more than $100 billion.

Since founding the Company, he has been honored with numerous citations, including IEEE/SEM's Outstanding Engineer of the Year Award; MSPE's Outstanding Engineer in Industry; and election to ESD's College of Fellows. He received his MSEE from Wayne State University, and his BS from Michigan State University.

Adib Nasle, President
Adib Nasle joined EDSA in 1992, and learned the business "from the ground up" -- for years, having served as manager of the Company's Quality Assurance, product management, and marketing functions. He was named President of EDSA in 2000.

Because of his varied roles, he possesses an extremely detailed, hands-on knowledge of the electrical power marketplace, as well as EDSA's software applications and underlying technology. Adib also led the Company's successful compliance efforts with the International Standards Organization (ISO), the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), the Nuclear Procurement Issues Committee (NUPIC), the Department of Defense (DoD), NATO, Det Norske Veritas (DNV), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and others.

He received his BA from Michigan State University, along with post-graduated studies at Wayne State University and University of California San Diego.

Nikrou Nasle, Treasurer
Nikrou Nasle helped to found EDSA in 1983, and served as the Company's first President before assuming her present role as Treasurer in 1999.

Previously, she worked in the executive levels of National Steel Corporation and the School of Paramedical Sciences - a joint venture with the University of Nevada, where she was director of examination and certification. Prior to that, she worked in the electrical engineering department for the Smith Group (formerly Smith Hinchman & Grylls.)

Nikrou received her BA in business administration from Farah Pahlavi University.

Kevin Meagher, Chief Technical Officer
Kevin Meagher is responsible for a wide range of product direction, business development and strategic planning.  Prior to joining EDSA, Kevin was President of a boutique business consulting company that worked closely in product planning, strategic planning and business valuation for public companies such as Eaton, Invensys General Electric, Alpha Technology as well as leading venture capital and private equity firms from Wall Street to Silicon Valley.

Kevin has undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry and Business, and an Executive MBA from the University of Colorado as well as doctoral work in Knowledge Management.  Kevin also holds a Master Captain's License from the USCG and has a current commission in the U.S. Merchant Marine.

Wei Zhang, Ph.D., P.E., Vice President of System Design
Wei Zhang joined EDSA in 1999. He works in system development, implementation and maintenance of EDSA software development projects, and in the implementation of EDSA’s QA/QC and Software Development Standard. He is an IEEE member and a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of California, USA.  Prior to joining EDSA, he had been on research and teaching of electrical power system analyses in universities for more than 10 years.

Wei obtained the B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees from Chongqing University, Chongqing, P. R. China, and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, SK, Canada.

Joe Yeagley, Vice President of Global Sales
Joe Yeagley joined EDSA as vice president of global sales in 2006. He joins the Company with more than 20 years of executive-level experience in power systems sales and operations, garnered with market leaders such as Eaton Corp., Powerware/Exide Electronics, and Liebert Corporation.

Joe received his BS in manufacturing engineering from Miami University (Ohio), and has completed executive post graduate programs in business administration at Babson College and international business at Cranfield University (UK).

Jim Neumann, Vice President of Corporate Communications
Jim Neumann oversees EDSA's communications and marketing programs activities, bringing a wide range of large- and small-company software experience to the Company. Prior to joining EDSA, he was vice president of IBM’s Technology Group and director of IBM’s Networking division, overseeing communications and marketing programs. Previously, he held similar roles with NCR/AT&T Global Information Solutions, SDRC, and Gensym Corporation.

Jim received his MS in business communications from Boston University, and his BA in communication arts from the University of Dayton. He also earned his executive MBA from the Wharton School of Business/AT&T School of Business.

Silviu Darie, PhD, EE, PE, Vice President of
Systems Design & Analysis Services
Prof. Dr. Darie has more than 15 years experience with EDSA products, and nearly 40 years of University-level electrical engineering instruction and industry consultancy in power system analysis computer applications, electrical energy distribution, electrical energy management, demand side management, power quality, transmission pricing, embedded generation, computer aided power system analysis and design.  In addition to earning both his Doctorate and Masters degrees in electrical engineering, he has authored or co-authored hundreds of technical books, student manuals, technical papers, and research projects.

Dr. Darie led nearly 180 electrical power projects; he constructed 18 prototypes designed for mass production, holds three patents, and is experienced in most leading software programs for electrical engineering.  He has provided services to clients worldwide, and is a registered professional engineer in Romania, South Africa and New Zealand.
